AT NU Support Services, we’re big on the small things.

• Lawn Mowing: Regular, scheduled, or one-off mowing.

• Edging: Neatening sidewalks and garden beds.

• Whipper Snipping/Trimming: Trimming around trees, fences, and hard-to-reach areas.

• Cleanup: Blowing hard surfaces clean (driveways, patios) after service.

• Gardening & Landscaping: Weeding, hedging, pruning, mulching, and green waste removal.

• Lawn Care: Fertilizing, aerating, and weed control.

NDIS recipients can request NU Support Services via meeting the following criteria:

"Reasonable and Necessary": The service must directly relate to the participant’s disability-related needs, not simply for aesthetic improvement.

• Examples of Covered Tasks: Regular lawn mowing, edging along paths and driveways, weeding, trimming overhanging branches or hedges that block access, and clearing green waste that poses a fire or safety hazard.

• What is Generally Not Covered: Cosmetic landscaping, planting new gardens, or buying new equipment. It is also generally not covered if it is for shared household areas where other residents are able to do the work.
